Member of SCNAT

CHIPP is an association uniting researchers active in particle, astroparticle and nuclear physics in Switzerland. It strengthens the Swiss participation in international projects and committees, coordinates research and teaching activities in Switzerland, and promotes public awareness of the field.more

"Particlephysics.ch" is now on the SCNAT portal

The outreach portal of CHIPP - the Swiss Institute of Particle Physics - has now been migrated to the new thematic portal of SCNAT on particle physics. This is an important step towards a better visibility of particle physics among the other fields of natural sciences.

The site "particlephysics.ch" as in 2015

Particle physics has now found a firm place on the SCNAT portal. Since now, the thematic portal on particle physics provides news on research, portraits physicists, and establishes interdisciplinary links with other scientific domains. The portal is the continuation of particlephysics.ch, which was developed as part of the Agora project "Interactions" funded by the SNSF. By taking over the hosting of the site and by supporting its future development, SCNAT provides an important contribution to a better visibility of particle physics in Switzerland.

The design of the SCNAT thematic portal offers a variety of new possibilities, which make the fascinating content from particle physics available to a wide audience among the other fields of science. For the nostalgics, the appreciated header images with black-and-white portraits and citations of several Swiss particle physicists are displayed in the slide-show below.
